Handle: Tied O.D. Green 550 Paracord approximately 2 ½” long.
Ferro Rod: 5/16” diameter x 3” long
Lanyard: O.D. Green 550 Paracord approximately 6” long.
Multi-tool Striker: Ruler, Bottle Opener, Hex Wrench, and Concave Scraper.
The handle of this ferro rod is made from approximately 5’ of 550 paracord which will provide cordage for emergency use. The paracord handle makes it easy to grip, yet small enough to easily be stowed away.
This ferro rod is compact in size making it easy to store in a fire kit or EDC Kit. It throws a large shower of sparks that will light any prepared tinder immediately.
The length of the ferro rod is approximately 3 1/8 inches long. The paracord handles are approximately 2 ½ inches in length. Overall length of rod and handle is about 5 1/2 inches. The ferro rod is painted black to preserve the ferrocerium and a lanyard to safeguard from dropping. Scratch off a bit of the paint to expose the ferrocerium and begin striking!
It’s large enough to produce approximately 10,000 strikes of 5,000 degree sparks in any weather.
