Alta Survival Stainless-Steel Striker with (Medium) Scrub Oak Handle

Handle: Scrub Oak 4” - 5 “ long x 1” –  1 ½” in diameter.

Striker: 3” long x ¾” wide stainless steel

Lanyard: O.D. Green 550 Paracord

The custom handle of this stainless-steel striker is made from Scrub Oak (from The Rocky Mountains) with a portion of the oak bark remaining for a naturally textured grip. The bark also gives it the rich red and brown colors that also make it unique. The large size oak handles make it large enough to handle, even while wearing winter gloves.

This striker is comfortable in hand which makes it easy to use. It facilitates a large shower of sparks to make your ferro rod extremely effective.

The exposed portion of the stainless-steel striker is approximately 3 inches long. The custom handles vary between 4 and 5 inches in length. Overall length of the striker and handle is between 7 and 8 inches. Attached is 550 paracord lanyard.

This is a great survival tool for starting fires! Use for bushcraft, camping, hiking, or starting charcoal briquettes at home. The crooks and bends of the Scrub Oak tree give the handle great character. Because it’s handmade, it starts off with just enough imperfections to give it even more character.
